It’s always great to meet up with my newborn clients again when they reach new milestone ages! The last time I saw this little girl was when she was only one week old. It was great to see her personality and her beautiful and contagious smile. What a joy!

I am so amazed my the amount of beauty and personality that shown through this little person during our session together. When I was editing the sessions’s images the song “This Little Light of Mine” came to mind because she seems to have such a beautiful “light” emanating from her! She’s so cute and tiny, and she has this wonderful smile and such happiness just bursting out of her. I love that she really opened up and had a great time during the session and I was able to capture so many cute little expressions. So, with that in mind, here are some session highlights from our first birthday portrait session. :)

This session was my first newborn twin session. I couldn’t have asked for better little babies or more easy-going parents! The session was so peaceful and the little ones slept so nicely. Mom and dad already seemed like pros and had such confidence! It was really amazing. These were also the teeny tiniest little babies that I’ve ever worked with. The little boy was only four pounds and his sister was almost 6 pounds. Teensy weensy little people! Working with newborns is so amazing, I am always at awe of these little people with all their perfect little features.

So…meet the little ones, Sam & Isabelle.

I just love the sweet and peaceful images we were able to get of little baby Allie. What a sweetheart!

When this session was booked, mom requested that we attempt to encorporate a cooking theme somehow into our session for her new baby boy. I have to say, that is not my usual thing and I prefer to stay “classic” with my newborn sessions, but I knew this request was very important to mom as she has a cooking website and wanted to feature this image on her webpage. So, I made the little chef hat and went shopping for the veggies, and came up with this little set-up. I was so suprised by the overwhelmingly positive response this shot got from my facebook followers! So, here it is…the little baby chef! What a cutie!
