What a beauty this little girl is! I put a “casting call” shout-out a few weeks back on my facebook page to see if I could get someone in to my studio quickly to model a few lace rompers for an etsy shop. This little one’s mom was the very first to respond. Did I get lucky or what?! She looks like a little Gerber baby model!

This was also my first real session at my home studio. It went really well! We had plenty of room and it was so nice to just set up everything and not have to travel with all of it!

And blowing me a kiss….does it get cuter than this?!

When this session was booked, mom requested that we attempt to encorporate a cooking theme somehow into our session for her new baby boy. I have to say, that is not my usual thing and I prefer to stay “classic” with my newborn sessions, but I knew this request was very important to mom as she has a cooking website and wanted to feature this image on her webpage. So, I made the little chef hat and went shopping for the veggies, and came up with this little set-up. I was so suprised by the overwhelmingly positive response this shot got from my facebook followers! So, here it is…the little baby chef! What a cutie!

Editing these images bought me so much joy because this family has not had their kids’ pictures taken since they were preschoolers. I’m hoping that these will become treasured images to hold onto and look back upon when these fun kids are all grown up!  These kids are all two years apart, just like my own. It was fun to see what I might be in for seven years from now, when my own kids are these ages. It looks like een the “big kids” are still silly and giggly just like the little kids are!

How pretty is this little girl? She has the cutest lips and does this little pucker that makes them into a tiny rosebud shape, and such pretty eyes. This session was what is considered to be an “on-location studio session”  where we create a studio look at your own home. It requires a spot near a window with an area to work in that is about 8 feet by 8 feet (at least). I don’t do these kinds of sessions very often, but I am so happy with how it went!
