I’m a mom to three sweet children, ages 6, 5, and 3. I’m a Jersey Shore girl and I love to walk on the beach (in the “off” seasons) and I am addicted to coffee!

My interest in professional photography started around five years ago when I decided to leave my second grade teaching job to be at home with my kids. For me, it was just too difficult to balance out my work life and my “mom” life, and during the first year of my daughter’s life I only saw her for one hour a day on work days. That was just too hard to be to bear, so I couldn’t go through it a second time when my son was born.

My passion for photography grew out of my hobby of photographing my own children. I think moms in general can probably identify with this, and although it is exciting to watch our children grow and acheive new things, it’s also sad at the same time! It means our babies are no longer babies!

Photography is the only way I have of keeping them little and we can freeze moments in time and treasure them forever. I am pretty much self-taught when it comes to photography. I have taken a few courses, but I learn the most from other photographers and just from getting out there and shooting.

I am a member of the IAPBP (International Association of Professional Birth Photographers), the PPA, and a participating photographer with “Inspiration through Art”, an organization that provides complimentary photography to families of children that have chronic illnesses or struggles.
