maternity

It was a pleasure finally meeting this lovely couple! They booked their maternity session when mom was only a few weeks pregnant. We had a fun time at a local apple orchard, and we did the session in two parts. The first part is featured here, which was a “couples” maternity session, and the second portion was a more formal “mom only” portrait session. (those will be posted later). This was fun, and it was my first time doing a little set-up with props. I really liked it and hope to do more sessions like this! Congratulations M&D, I can’t wait to meet your little ones in a few weeks!

Is this not the total epitomy of womanhood?

I just love this new gown I got specifically for maternity photo sessions. When I bought it I knew it was going to look great! I love how the light makes it glow, and this beautiful mommy-to-be has the perfect hair color and everything is glowing in the golden sunlight. I can’t wait to meet her little babies in a few months! (yes..twins!)

We did this couple’s maternity session back in the spring. It was chilly. We had a two-month wait until little Miss J made her arrival right on time last week. I was so suprised that they had a baby girl!! I always try to make a guess at the sex, and I was pretty convinced she was having a boy because she looked so stinkin good! Not that women having girls don’t look good…I had two myself, but we tend get wider I think. That’s how the wive’s tale goes anyway, and I think it’s true. But this mommy-to-be was able to still wear skinny jeans at about 30 weeks pregnant, so who knows!

And here is the tiny one:

So, there were some amazing waves yesterday at the beach. I think they were the biggest I’ve ever seen, and I’ve lived at the Jersey Shore my whole life.

This was the shot we were trying to get (and did get)…mom-to-be looking beautiful with the crashing waves in the background….

And this is what happened seconds later!

We both got really wet, pretty much up to our knees. At least we got the shot! ;)

These are my favorite kinds of images, the ones that reveal true emotion and are genuine moments! Thank you “V” and “P” for such a beautiful session!
